Stephanie Gray is a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Therapist, and Reiki Master specializing in breast health education, lymph therapy, breast cancer rehabilitation, and oncology massage. She is a graduate of The Finger Lakes School of Massage and has maintained a private practice in Ithaca, NY since 2004.
Her extensive post-graduate work in Oncology Massage includes training in Medical Massage for the Cancer Patient at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, Manual Lymph Drainage and Complete Decongestive Therapy with Klose Training, Mastectomy Massage and Breast Massage at Pittsburgh School of Massage, and advanced courses in Caring for Clients with Cancer with Tracy Walton.
Stephanie has been an independent contractor providing breast cancer rehabilitation therapy and lymphatic massage for Guthrie Medical Center in Sayre, PA, and has worked as an oncology massage therapist for Rasa Spa located in the Cayuga Medical Center’s Island Health Complex. She is trained as a Lay Health Advisor through the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes, and has provided massage therapy as a volunteer for Hospicare patients.
Stephanie also has an extensive background with the ocean, having spent 5 years at sea working as a U.S. Merchant Mariner. She holds a USCG Masters License certifying her to captain vessels as large as 100 tons. Stephanie studied sculpture and painting at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and holds a Bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA.
